No SongIntent training by default
SongIntent does not use project lyrics or recordings to train SongIntent models without a separate, explicit opt-in. There is no bundled consent hidden inside a lyric-generation button.
Reference DNA uses transient audio processing
After you confirm that you own the audio or have permission to use it, the selected audio is sent to LALAL.AI for vocal separation and then to OpenAI for transcription and analysis. SongIntent requests and verifies deletion of the LALAL.AI source and generated tracks after processing. LALAL.AI states that media is removed from storage immediately, although cached download links may remain valid for up to one hour and limited database records may remain. Reference DNA does not save the uploaded audio, filename or transcript to SongIntent project storage. When you use Concept Flip Exact Fit on a song you own or licensed, its transient transcript can be sent with your controls as a private meter-and-stress scaffold; the transcript is not added to a reusable DNA profile. Pro can separately save up to 20 derived-DNA profiles containing craft characteristics and signal measurements—not source audio or lyrics.
Behind the Song keeps commercial source audio private
Behind the Song uses lawfully acquired source files in an administrator-only workflow. A source is stored in private object storage, processed server-side to create derived craft characteristics, and deleted after the derived DNA and editorial draft are saved. SongIntent does not expose, stream, embed, or distribute the purchased file. Public articles contain only quality-screened commentary, abstract craft traits, and links to official listening services.
Meta advertising measurement
SongIntent uses the Meta Pixel and may use Meta's Conversions API for advertising measurement and optimization. Standard events can identify a page view, sign-in request, verified registration, checkout start or Stripe-confirmed purchase. Song lyrics, audio, briefs and Studio project content are excluded.
Account and free-access records
SongIntent stores emails used for accounts, plan access, billing and support as operational records. Verified account emails are also synchronized to the SongIntent Mailchimp audience as non-subscribed contacts unless the creator separately opts into marketing. Product marketing remains a separate, optional choice.
Agreement and billing-consent records
SongIntent records the Terms version, acceptance time, agreement source, account or private visitor identifier, a one-way hash of the connection address, and limited device information. A separate record documents recurring-plan consent, selected plan, price and billing interval. These records are used to establish the agreement, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and comply with subscription law.
Quality review is a separate choice
When you explicitly save a private quality review, SongIntent stores numeric ratings and technical fit diagnostics. The evaluation submission excludes lyric text and audio.
Portable exports
Free can export plain lyrics. Creator adds LRC and SRT; Pro adds DAW marker CSV and a JSON project package containing lyrics, timing, anchors, controls and authorship history.
Project deletion
The Studio Data panel can permanently remove the current project, its versions, stored AI generations, quality metrics and private uploaded or recorded audio.

The inputs needed for the request.
Reference DNA audio is transiently processed by LALAL.AI for vocal separation before the isolated vocal is sent to OpenAI for transcription. Other lyric generation and audio transcription actions are processed through the OpenAI API. SongIntent sends only the relevant project constraints or audio for the requested action and sets supported generation requests to store: false. Provider-side operational records, security logs and short-lived caches may still be retained under each provider’s terms.
Meta measurement is active.
SongIntent uses the Meta Pixel and may use Meta's Conversions API to measure visits, verified registrations, checkout starts and Stripe-confirmed purchases. These events can include page and browser data, a purchase plan and value, and privacy-protected account matching data such as a normalized email transformed with SHA-256 before transmission. We do not intentionally send lyrics, uploaded audio, song briefs or Studio project content. Meta processes the data it receives under its own terms and privacy policies.
Operational records stay distinct.
When you verify an account, SongIntent stores your email with account, entitlement, usage and billing-status records and synchronizes it to the SongIntent Mailchimp audience. Without a separate marketing opt-in, Mailchimp receives it as a non-subscribed transactional contact that is not eligible for marketing campaigns. Authorized administrators can review and export account records for operating the service. Marketing messages require a separate opt-in and include an unsubscribe option.
Upload only what you can use.
Do not upload another person’s confidential material, voice recording or copyrighted beat unless you have authority to use it. SongIntent does not perform ownership, originality, sample-clearance or legal-rights verification.
